DLPP's website redesign

Objective

Update and modernize DLPP’s website in a responsive way.

Details

Dayton Literary Peace Prize was founded in 2006, and over the years the internet has rapidly developed. The previous website was functional, but needed a refresh to make for a more streamlined design. The intention was to help visitors navigate effortlessly to find the information they were seeking within the volumes the website housed.

Process

Developing a wire frame of how the new website would be organized was essential. Following this structure, a mockup of design options were created, both for desktop and mobile views. Once the new mockup designs were approved, building the website began.

Building a website of this magnitude took time and strategic planning. Even with the wire frame and mockups as a guide, some layouts and ideas needed to be tweaked to achieve the desired look and also function based on web standards and in an interactive way.
